I fell in love with Garrett County MD through whitewater kayaking here on the world class rapids of the wild and scenic Youghiogheny River. It’s one of the best places in the U.S. for whitewater kayaking enthusiasts. The 1989 and 2014 World Whitewater Kayak Championships were hosted here. I competed in the 1992 Olympic Trials held here on the Savage River and narrowly missed qualifying for the Olympic Team.
I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Marketing.
I’m very determined individual and I also enjoy being an instructor and teacher. I have two children, Heather 25 and Adam 23 and we enjoy kayaking and snowboarding together and other outdoor activities.
